Performance features in the 2020 Mercedes-Benz E 350
The E-Class is back again for 2020, and this time it receives the much-anticipated power upgrade that we saw from the C 300 in 2019. The E 300 is out and will be replaced by the E 350, which was actually in production a few years ago. The E 350 now takes over as the entry-level E-Class model, and drivers can expect a lot of highlights that will surely enhance their overall driving experience. Check out the performance features in the 2020 Mercedes-Benz E 350 below!
The E 350 comes with the same 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine you’ll find in other Mercedes-Benz models. This one, however, has been upgraded from 241 horsepower to 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. As we mentioned earlier, 2019 provided a sneak peek into what we could expect for the E-Class moving forward, as the base C 300 oddly had more power than the E 300. The road has been straightened out and things are now as they should be with the entry-level E-Class model.
Another exciting carryover is the nine-speed automatic transmission. While most midsize sedans get somewhere around six or seven speeds, the E 350 offers the 9G-TRONIC® transmission for more seamless gear changes and better acceleration. DYNAMIC SELECT® will once again come standard, allowing drivers to adjust the driving mode selector and get a personalized throttle response and different shift points depending on their mood. ECO, Comfort, Sport, and Sport+ modes are all available, as is a fifth “individual” mode. Other performance highlights include ECO Start/Stop, selective damping system, AIR BODY CONTROL®, and more.
