For 2020, we’re seeing an interesting change in events as the GLE actually powers down on its base engine. Now, the GLE comes with the same 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine found in the base GLC. With 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque to work with, this may be enough for some drivers. However, both models allow for upgrades that go up to 503 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque in the GLC and 483 horsepower 516 lb-ft of torque in the GLE.
