Subcompact SUV shoppers in Gilbert AZ and the surrounding areas will soon have the most updated member of the GLA family available to them. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA is capitalizing off of the successes we’ve seen from the GLA in recent years, but this year it will showcase some innovative new technology and upgraded performance features. This is one you won’t want to miss!
If you’ve been waiting for the right time to get your hands on a new small SUV, it would behoove of you to wait a little longer until the 2021 GLA is available. A big upgrade for 2021 will be a powertrain enhancement, with the GLA now offering 221 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque in the base model. It also offers more headroom in the front and more legroom in the back.
Who says subcompact SUVs have to be uncomfortable? With more space for everyone, the GLA now has a more comfortable ride for passengers and drivers alike. The newest GLA sits 3.9 inches higher, which is certainly a nice upgrade for taller people. The trunk capacity has been increased to 15.4 cubic feet, and while we haven’t yet heard what the overall cargo volume will be, it’s safe to assume it will have noticeably more space than its predecessor. Included in the upgraded powertrain is a now-standard 8-speed automatic transmission.
Drivers are sure to enjoy the interior amenities offered by the GLA. While once thought of as an entry-level luxury SUV, the GLA now competes favorably against other top small luxury SUVs with highlights that include the all-new Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) system and extended functions in the Driver Assistance Package. Some of the other interior highlights include dual 10.25-inch display screens, full-color head-up display, Navigation, 64-color ambient lighting, and much more.
With a release date scheduled to take place sometime in summer of 2020, the 2021 GLA is still being fine-tuned for the time being. However, if you’ve been looking for the perfect blend of size, utility, and performance, there’s no better option than the GLA. The new 2021 GLA will take over where the 2020 model left off, so if you’re interested in learning more, contact our team here at Mercedes-Benz of Gilbert or schedule a test drive on our website today!
