Release Date for the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA
Mercedes-Benz’s smallest SUV will be returning even better for the 2020 model year. A couple Mercedes-Benz models like the new AMG® CLA 35 and GLE have already been released for the 2020 model year, and the GLA will follow in their footsteps. Highlights in the 2020 GLA
The GLA is a luxury subcompact SUV that has proven to be an excellent choice for drivers who want the fuel efficiency of a sedan while boasting more cargo space. The most affordable SUV in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, the GLA offered two engine options for 2019: the base 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo in the GLA 250 and the larger handcrafted AMG® 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo in the AMG® GLA 45. Right now, there isn’t all that much information out about the newest GLA set to be released, but rumor has it there may be a boost in performance with the introduction of an AMG® GLA 45 S which reportedly can achieve a whopping 416 horsepower. This is exactly double the horsepower in the base 2019 GLA 250 (208 horsepower), so if this model ends up being available to consumers, we’re guessing this will be a highly sought-after model. The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA, whichever trim level is released first, is rumored to debut in September of this year in Frankfurt.
