How to set up the Mercedes-Benz app

1. Download the Mercedes-Benz app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Create or sign in to your Mercedes me ID.
3. Add your vehicle. Scan the QR code shown in your car’s MBUX system, or type in your VIN.
4. Confirm in the car. Follow the prompt on the MBUX screen to link the vehicle to your account.
5. Activate services such as Remote Engine Start, Remote Door Lock and Unlock, and Vehicle Locator.

Charging for EQ and plug-in hybrid owners

Watch charging progress, set a charge limit, schedule charging, and find public charging stations. On iPhone, Live Activities show charging status on your Lock Screen.

What needs a subscription?

Basic account features are free. Remote services, like remote start, remote lock and vehicle location, run through a Mercedes me connect plan. New vehicles typically include a complimentary period, after which you can renew. What is included depends on your model and year, so check the Services section of the app or ask us. When the app will not connect

• Update the app and your phone’s software.
• Check your plan. If remote commands stopped working, your complimentary period may have ended.
• Check the car’s signal. Remote commands need cellular coverage where the car is parked, which can be weak in underground garages.
• Sign out and back in, or remove and re-add the vehicle.
